the demographic that generally speaking isn't interested in the comic book form? At the risk of pigeonholing Janet Evanovich fans, aren't they mostly.oh, how should I say it. So, benefit of the doubt, perhaps someone already familiar with the characters might gain some appreciation from this GN. This being the only Evanovich title I've ever read, I suspect it's meant for those who already follow any of the Barnaby and Hooker series, since the graphic novel doesn't do a great job at introducing the characters (it doesn't help that the two main characters, Sam and Alex, both have dual gender names), or explaining why Sam - I mean, no, Alex - continues to hang out with and go on escapades with (and.date, I think? Or.just pretend to date, maybe?) Sam despite her showing absolutely no signs whatsoever or anything less than hating his guts. From what I gather, there are three Barnaby and Hooker series - Metro Girl, Motor Mouth, and Troublemaker - but as far as I can find only Troublemaker has a graphic novel form. The parenthetical bit "(A Barnaby and Hooker Graphic Novel #3)" is a bit confusing.
